1:00-4 p.m.
Workshop Facilitator: Leopold Coleman (He/They)
Participants will be introduced to the joy of stop-motion by a passionate, popular and prominent stiktuber who has been creating stop-motion short films, using stik bots since the age of 6. Leopold creates weekly episodes on their YouTube channel, Leopold films with stories about their stik bot gang, Blue, Purple and Green.
Participants will film, pause and edit their own stop-frame animations using Stikbots and a take-home mini animation studio. Budding animators will create their own scenes and props from a variety of art materials. This workshop provides endless opportunities for storytelling and open-ended making and creativity. The Short films created will be emailed to participants after the workshop.
Compared to other filmmaking methods, stop motion animation offers an unrivaled outlet for artistic expression.
