Little hands Big Art

A parent-and-child art exploration program that combines open-ended creative invitations with opportunities to explore the studio, outdoor mud kitchen (weather permitting), and sensory spaces. A Studio Passport will encourage children to discover different areas of the studio each week.

Each four-week session follows the changing season through thoughtfully prepared creative invitations. The media may change weekly to provide new experiences while maintaining a familiar rhythm.

Seasonal themes (e.g. Harvest, Apples, Autumn Forest, etc.) will be woven throughout the stories, songs, sensory experiences, and creative invitations.

About the facilitator: 

Liana is a natural craftsperson with a love for seasonal creativity and nature-based materials. With a background in environmental studies and forest conservation, she brings an appreciation for the rhythms of the natural world and the changing seasons into her creative process. She especially enjoys nature crafting, seasonal projects, crocheting, and exploring the many ways people can connect with the outdoors through handmade creations inspired by its everyday wonders.

Liana holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Studies from York University and a Master’s Degree in Forest Conservation from Toronto Metropolitan University.
