Maker Camp aims to honour the naturally occurring creative spirit by providing a rich variety of materials and tools and standing back, giving creative freedom and agency.  When children are given opportunities to discover and make things on their own, the more original and innovative the art becomes. Perseverance, creative risk-taking, authenticity and pride are all by-products of independent art-making.

Glue guns, cardboard cutters, woodworking tools and sewing machines are just some of the things that may be used in this making focused camp.

Maker campers will interact and share space in all areas of the studio and program rooms with play lab campers; However at times, the Maker Room will solely be used by the Maker Camp on a variety of engaging and age-appropriate projects and/or activities.

We believe that campers benefit within a daily rhythm; campers that attend for more than one day are welcome.

  • DRESS FOR MESS & THE WEATHER

    Our campers will be spending time playing in both our indoor and outdoor spaces. Please ensure your child is dressed for the weather as we are currently unable to supply extra hats, sweaters, sunscreen, etc. In addition, we ask that each child come with their own labelled water bottle.

    CANCELLATIONS, MISSED SESSIONS & REFUNDS

    Our camp programs are in-demand and have limited capacity. For this reason, we do not provide refunds or make-up sessions for any missed days. Please review our policies for further details regarding cancellations before booking.

  • STATUTORY HOLIDAYS

    Camp are not be held on statutory holidays. If a weekly camp session includes a statutory holiday, camp dates and fees are adjusted to a 4-day program.

    DROP OFF/PICKUP INSTRUCTIONS

    Drop off and pick up for camp is around the back of our building through the blue program entrance door.

    For safety, adults are not permitted in the building when dropping off/picking up. The facilitator will greet you at the beginning of the program and have the participants ready to go at the end of the program for pick up.
