Sock Monkey Workshop

A Sock Monkey Making Workshop where you can make your own Sock Monkey, using a pair of traditional work socks or choose from an assortment of colourful and patterned socks! With some instruction, stuffing, needle and thread, buttons, yarn and fabric, participants will build and sew a new friend! No experience needed. Bring your favorite beverage. Make it a memorable occasion. What will your Sock Monkey look like? Come to our Workshop and find out!

Registered participants are invited to play in the studio prior to the workshop, at no additional cost.

 About the facilitator: 

Liana is a natural craftsperson with a love for seasonal creativity and nature-based materials. With a background in environmental studies and forest conservation, she brings an appreciation for the rhythms of the natural world and the changing seasons into her creative process. She especially enjoys nature crafting, seasonal projects, crocheting, and exploring the many ways people can connect with the outdoors through handmade creations inspired by its everyday wonders.

Liana holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Studies from York University and a Master’s Degree in Forest Conservation from Toronto Metropolitan University.
