 At CAF, we are firm believers in the importance of the arts in education. Art allows children to be creative and imaginative. Art provides an additional means of expression. The act of creating also makes children feel good, and boosts self-confidence. Art is a magical outlet that promotes all aspects of child development – physical, cognitive, social and emotional. Art is truly an integral part of life. Needless to say, we love getting creative…and this Plexi-Glass Portrait Painting workshop will provide a perfectly simple, yet fun processed-based art experience with a beautiful end product: unique portraits of both you and your child, ready for display!

About the Facilitator:  

Shruti Chaudhary holds an MFA degree in Painting from Delhi College of Arts in India. Married and a proud mother of a son, Shruti moved with her family to Canada 7 years ago.  Shruti loves Guelph’s vibrant community of Art enthusiasts and brings over 5 years of teaching art experience in India to CAF. Shruti continues to pursue her passion through painting and portrait work, while also conducting Art classes in her home studio.
