An exploratory single session sensory program for babies 6-18 months and their grown-up.

location: CAF Experiential learning program room

Inspired by the ground-breaking artist Jean-Michel Basquiat, this program aims to bring some of the same irreverence and child-like spontaneity and vigour that made Basquiat world famous.

Age-appropriate materials and tools will be used for babies to safely explore their world on their terms. Freedom of movement and freedom to explore (where nothing is forbidden to touch or mouth) will provide babies with ample opportunities to gain valuable skills, both social, physical and emotional… in this popular program!

Please note: We cannot accommodate non-participating siblings.

About the educator:

Christina obtained her Early Childhood Educator diploma in her native Germany. It was there where she developed a deep understanding of play-based and child-led-learning. Fun, organised and full of ideas, Christina is driven to create a caring, fun learning environment that fortifies the child honouring benefits of open-ended play. FUN FACT: Baby Basquiats and Frida's Friends are amongst our most popular and beloved programs, created and developed by Christina in 2020.

  • DRESS FOR MESS

    We suggest bringing a change of clothing for both you and your child. For Baby Basquiats, consider bringing a towel or blanket as well.

    LOCATION INSTRUCTIONS

    This program takes place in our backroom. Please enter through the door at the back of the building (through the fenced area). There is space to park strollers.

  • MISSED SESSIONS

    Our pre-registered programs have limited capacity. For this reason, we do not provide refunds or make-up sessions for any missed classes.

    STATUTORY HOLIDAYS

    Programs will not be held on statutory holidays. If the program you select includes a holiday, you will be reimbursed for the cost of one session.
