Drop-off workshop for age 6+ - Sunday March 9th from 2-4 pm
location: CAF maker space
Workshop Facilitators: Leopold Coleman (He/They/Them) and Beau Duquette (They/Them/Theirs)
In this workshop, participants will invent a character and make their character's costume in order to play around with different quest scenarios and interact with the other characters in a choose-your-own adventure story line. As children are naturals at Improv, this workshop about improv will be introduced through fantasy using larping and dungeons and dragons as inspirations....

Larping is a role-playing game where the participants physically portray their characters. The players pursue goals within a fictional setting represented by real-world environments while interacting with each other in character.

 About the facilitators:

Leopold is a 17 yr old honour roll student at GCVI, who plans on pursuing a teaching degree with a special interest in Kindergarten. Leopold is a studio assistant at CAF and also assists with our camp programs. Leopold is an executive member of the GCVI Drama club and loves sharing their passion for improv with others.
Beau is currently a high school student at GCVI, born and raised a performer and artist in Guelph. They have been acting since a young age, starring in numerous plays and musicals, such as "The Who's: Tommy", "Shrek the Musical", "The Little Prince", and more. They have been part of the Improv Team at GCVI for two years now, performing in front of large audiences both competitively and for fun, making them a great match to help run our Larping Improv Workshop.
