Drop-off workshop for age 6+ - Sunday June 29 from 2-4 pm 

Create your own unique chess set! Participants will be given a chess board with an engraved grid that can be painted, along with material for bases to build their chess pieces. Sets will be taken home in their own box with game rules and chess piece legend. A mini tournament will be welcomed if participants finish within the workshop time.

 About the facilitator: Leopold is in their last year of highschool at GCVI and will be attending Wilford Laurier University in the fall. Leopold had been an enthusiastic member of the high school chess club since grade 9.

Things to Know About Art workshops, programs and camps.

  • DRESS FOR MESS

    Wear clothing to get messy in! Socks are required for everyone attending, including adults.

    DROP-OFF/PICK-UP

    You will receive a phone call from our program facilitators, prior to the start of each camp/session/workshop for further details regarding pick-up and drop-off locations. For safety, please wait outside for drop-off and pick-up. A CAF educator will greet you at the appropriate entrance door at the beginning of the program and have participants ready for pick- up at the end of the program.

    CAMP CANCELLATIONS

    Less than 2 weeks notice

    No refund or credit is issued. This includes unexpected illness or weather or other.

    More than 2 weeks notice

    A refund minus a $50 admin fee for weekly camps and a $25 admin fee for PA day and day camps will be issued.

  • MISSED SESSIONS

    Our camps, programs and workshops have limited capacity. For this reason, we do not provide refunds or make-up sessions for any missed days or classes.

    STATUTORY HOLIDAYS

    Programs will not be held on statutory holidays. If the dates you select include a holiday you would be reimbursed for the cost of one class.
