We started small but continue to grow bigger, every year❤️

Swipe to see our first space and to see what’s changed since moving to 37 Yarmouth St.

This summer we extended our outside play area and added a mud kitchen. 🙌

The program room we carved out during the pandemic is currently getting an upgrade to accommodate more program facilitators and more programs!

We’ve hired new staff and I am learning how to be a leader, which is hard but rewarding 😊

Peter (He/Him) my comrade in life and business is now with us full time and has more time and energy to make CAF even better❤️

We hope to continue to evolve and grow, wherever there are opportunities to do so❤️

A weekly after school drop off program for childre

A weekly after school drop off program for children 6+ yrs. Inspired by the joyful and irreverent Art of contemporary Japanese Artist Yayoi Kusama (famous for her polka dots) this fun and slightly mischievous program will explore a wide variety of interesting and engaging art techniques along with open ended making and free play in our studio.

We installed this fence this summer and realized that rather than us painting it, we should leave this important job for the children to do.

There is no better way to proclaim that our studio is a space for children to explore and create than by having the authentic artwork of children proudly and permanently, on public display❤️

Sock monkey cookery is not an exacting art. The time it takes to cook a casserole depends upon how long your sock monkey is able to sit at the table without falling over. And if a recipe calls for a cupful of something, you can use a measuring cup or a teacup or a buttercup. It doesn’t much matter. What does matter is that you select the best ingredients available, set a fine table, and serve with style❤️

Contemplative and engaging, painting is perhaps on

Contemplative and engaging, painting is perhaps one of the most enticing materials for young children, next to sand and water.

Providing children with time and agency to paint what where and for how long they choose…gives them an immense sense of independence and confidence in their own abilities ❤️

In our programs, we love to use our little back courtyard for messy experiences with paint and water. The freedom to paint yourself, the ground or the walls is heaven to children and always fine with us❤️

Wonder filled and wonderful outside play lab today! A mix of potions and mud were explored.

New friends made, materials explored and mess was created and welcomed 😊.

We offer play lab every Saturday! Play lab is a drop off 1.5 hr program for ages 4-6 yrs.

There is still time to register for next month’s Play Lab!

October Play Lab will be a mix of halloween inspired invitations along with our regular favourites😊
