We are so very excited to introduce Children’s Art Factory’s very first Artist in Residence!
Miko Henry is a local artist and doll making enthusiast! She comes with a background in fine arts and experience as a creative mama of two budding artists. With her small business Lil Tree & Me she has enjoyed developing a line of reversible children’s clothing and handcrafted dolls that she has exhibited at festivals and shows throughout Ontario. She is very excited to share her love of doll making with children at the Children’s Art Factory and to see what amazing creations she can help support.
Doll Making with Miko!
Mondays in March
(please see registration page for exact dates)
Come and explore the creative possibilities of doll making!! In this 4 week drop off program children will design their own unique pattern, learn the basics of machine sewing and create a doll to take home. We will provide supplies, some inspiration, basic techniques and guidance for children to produce their own piece. It will not be a specific step by step formula but instead support the child’s unique vision in making a doll that stems from their imagination. No prior sewing experience is required, only a desire to create!
